Elected in October 2007, Amrit Mangat represents the riding of Mississauga-Brampton South.
Amrit was appointed by the Premier of Ontario as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Transportation in 2010. Amrit has also served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister Responsible for Seniors from 2007 to 2010, and as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs in 2010.
Amrit also serves as a member of the Justice, Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affairs Policy Cabinet Committee, the Standing Committee on the Legislative Assembly, and the Standing Committee on General Government.
