Derry Road, Mississauga
Derry Road is a major east-west arterial just south of the Brampton border.
Derry Road is one of the regional roads that the Region of Peel maintains.
It runs through the neighbourhoods of Meadowvale, Meadowvale Village, Gateway, and Malton. It continues east into Toronto as Rexdale Boulevard and west into Milton.
History
Derry Road has existed as a side road since the Second Purchase of 1818. In the 1990s, large portions of Derry Road were closed near Meadowvale Village, and a six-lane highway bypass to the north was built as the new Derry Road.
