OUR GOAL
It is our goal to inspire children to lead active and healthy lifestyles. Through a positive sporting experience, children will learn the value of making physical activity a priority in their lives.
THE IDEA
Horizons Gymnastics was founded by Tracy Weyermars. She has been involved in the gymnastics community for 23 years both as an athlete and a coach. With her passion to teach children and love of the sport, Tracy is able to give back to the community by providing gymnastics programs for all ages. It is her goal to give back to children the positive experiences she has received from the sport.
VALUES OF SPORT
There are many positive outcomes of participation in sport activities. Benefits include development of cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility. Physical activity helps in the maintenance of a healthy body weight and is also associated with positive self-esteem, and improved academic and cognitive performance. Risk factors for diseases are reduced when children and youth participate in regular physical activity.
