The majority of stores are open inside the mall on Statutory Holidays except for Christmas.

Square One is Ontario's Largest shopping mall and it's in the centre of Mississauga.

It is surrounded by a ring of office towers-in-the-parking-lots, and lots of new condo towers are springing up on the outside of this ring. Between the mall and Highway 403, there are parking-heavy mid-box retail uses, and Square One Drive is being developed with small-box retail. City Hall, the Central Library, and the Living Arts Centre are across the street from the Cityside section of the mall.

The City Centre Transit Terminal is located north of Zellers.

There are two movie theatres: one in the mall and another three blocks away.

Inside the mall there is a permanent blood donor clinic

There are several banks in the mall.
Bank of Montreal & TD Canada Trust (these two are right next to each other).

There is a Square One Farmers Market that runs over the summer. It's pretty good.

Off of Duke Of York Boulevard you will find Hazel's Walk. It was dedicated to Missisauga Mayor Hazel McCallion.

The mall is set in a sea of parking lots and garages. Some of the parking lots are being redeveloped with additional shops; the northeast parking lot is the first to receive this treatment, with Crate and Barrel opening soon, and Whole Foods Market yet to start construction.
